Seen Him? Suspect On Loose After Fleeing Pleasant Valley Crash

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - State Police are asking for the public's help locating a man wanted for fleeing from the scene of an auto crash in Pleasant Valley and for possession of drugs.

Legrande Cooper, 28, is wanted for fleeing from the scene of an accident and police on Aug. 31, state police said.

Cooper fled the vehicle he was operating after he failed to negotiate a turn on Masten Road and was involved in a collision. At the time of the crash, Cooper possessed crack cocaine, state police said.

On Friday, the town of Pleasant Valley court issued a warrant ordering Cooper’s arrest.

He is described as a being a white male, 5-foot-10 inches, 195 pounds with brown hair and eyes. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the New York State Police at 845-677-7300 or by email at  Crimetip@troopers.ny.gov. Police warn anyone who sees Cooper not to take any action themselves.
